The track is closed from Mar 24 - Mar. 31 to put in a new layout for the Nats Warm-Up Race. Track will open on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 10:00AM - 7:00PM for Open Practice.

The track will be closed this Saturday in support of the #3 GRRS at Hemet RC.

The Nationals Warm-Up Race is fast approacing. If you haven't already, mark this event on you calendar! April 1-3, 2011

The track will be closed Tuesday - Wednesday, Mar. 1st - 2nd. We will reopen on Thursday for special Grass Roots open practice from 3pm - 9pm. Also we will be open on Friday from 3pm - 9pm for another chance to get some practice in before the GRRS #2 on Saturday.

Saturday gates will open at 8am with racing starting at 11am! Come out for a fun time racing.

The Grass Roots Racing Series kicked off Feb 12 th at the newly refurbished Palm Desert RC Raceway. What a HUGE surprise with 171 entries and a great day weather wise! Getting all the NEW first time racers up to speed with the racing program took some time for their first racing experience, but Chris Vierra & Mike Macintosh handled it well and got us thru the day.

With that being said we will be changing the start time for racing for the remainder of the series to 11am. So tell all your buddies about the time change please. Gates open at 8am.

We would like to take time also to thank all the GREAT sponsors that stepped up to help us with this series this year. Last year we only had two and this year we have 7 to help the average racer recoup some of their expenses to race these fun-mobiles! Those great companies are Losi, AKA, Associated, Pro-Line, Byrons fuel, Novak, Airtronics and TLR.

The next Round #2 will be on Saturday March 5th here at T/A! Dont miss it. The track now has a new layout that is fast and fun! Guys wanted some speed and longer jumps so Levi gave you some. Still Short Course friendly though with smaller combinations if you choose, so come get some practice in if MOM NATURE quits messing with us!

Thunder Alley has the best deal in town! We have group rates now available for the Hampton Inn & Suites Banning-Beaumont. Click the link to reserve your rooms now. The special room rate will be available until April 30th or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first.

Thunder Alley will have club racing every 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month until Spring. Classes will be both electric and nitro. So come out and enjoy some racing with your friends. The entry fees are $12 for the first class and $10 for the second class.

Saturday November 6th saw the first ever Turkey Cup Classic at Thunder Alley RC Raceway. Race day featured Short Course racing along with some E-Buggies competing for trophies and of course a TURKEY for the winner in each class. We had 76 entries and some great weather along with A LOT of great prizes to give out for the raffle.

Donating VERY generously were Associated, Robinhood Resort in Big Bear, Pro-Line, Amain Hobbies, Team Losi, Novak, Evolution Sports, Airland Hobbies, TrackStar. Without their support we wouldn’t have been able to raise $300 to give to the San Bernardino County Food Bank along with 425 pounds of food to help feed the less fortunate.

Special Thanks to Steve Cvengros and his family for the idea and putting this all together! Always great to get our RC community together to do some good for the local area!

We are pleased to announce our 2 nd annual Gas Championships here @ Thunder Alley RC Raceway Sept 25 & 26 2010. This year our race is brought to you by Pro-Line, Upgrade and Dialed Inc. Our Race Director and Announcer will be the INFAMOUS Jimmy Babcock to make our race program run smoothly. Pro-Line has stepped up to help the Sportsman class by giving them a set (4) tires with their 1 st entry. Additional tires also will be available at the track at a discounted rate for the racers.

Upgrade will be providing the awesome awards again and Dialed Inc will be doing the event shirts for the racers (included with paid entry). Looks to be a great weekend of racing with a different format similar to last year’s event! Bring LOTS of fuel because you will get A LOT of track time again! Mark your calendars and come join us for this year’s event!

The 5th round of the JBRL Nitro Series is coming in 2 weeks, Sunday Aug. 15th. Come out Thursday or Saturday to get in some early practice on the new layout.

TA will be closed Sunday Aug. 8 - Tuesday Aug 10th for a track re-build. We will have normal Thursday night open practice (5pm - 9pm) and all-day practice on Saturday (11am - 9pm) .

We decided to take action on our racers advice! Along with our normal Wednesday Night SC Thunder we are racing on some select Saturday nights.

Starting July 24 we will have Short Course racing starting @ 5pm (to beat the heat hopefully) Gates will open Saturday @ 11am for open practice (gas & electric) then at 4pm we will have 1 hour of SC practice ONLY with SC racing @ 5pm. Three classes of SC trucks (Stock 2wd, Mod 2WD and Open 4WD). We may consider running 1/8 Electric Buggy if there is a interest.

Thunder Alley will be closed Saturday, May 1st in support of the GRRS Round 4 in Hemet. We will be open on Sunday, May 2nd for normal practice 11am - 4pm.

The Grass Root Racing Series - Round 3 results are now posted along with the Current Point Standings. With an amazing 144 entries and a hand full of Pro drivers showing up, this was a great day of racing. Ryan Cavalieri dominated the Expert 1:8 Truck and Buggy classes with 2 TQ's and 2 wins. While T/A's own Levi Jackson took runner up in Expert 1:8 Truggy. The points show a 3-way tied battle between Ryan Cavalieri, Levi Jackson and Drew Moller for both Truck and Buggy heading into Round 4 in Hemet on May 1st.

Round 2 was held this past Saturday at Hemet Competition Raceway and what a awesome day! There were 104 entries and a lot of new first time racers filtered into the entry level classes. Short course was a very popular class for Round 2! Special thanks to Mark Meehan for handling the race director duties. Great Job!

Thunder Alley will be closed this weekend, 3/20 - 3/21, to support the GRRS Round 2 @ Hemet Competition Raceway and RCX in Pomona.

Results from the Round 1 GRRS are now available along with current point standings! Saturday proved to be a challenge due to ALL of the varied weather forecasts, but we REALLY wanted to get Round 1 in because of the postponement from the week before. We told everyone it was going to happen, and we moved up the race start time to 11am. 63 entries is what we ended up with mostly due to the inclement weather I'm sure! The infamous R..A..I..N never arrived and the track was perfect for racing! Jeremy Fellas had a great day on the mic and kept the race program going smoothly along with some awesome racing action.

Thanks to all of the attendees and hope to see all of you back in a couple of weeks for Round 2 @ HCR March 20th!

It seems the powers above seem to think Thunder Alley R/C Raceway is a raceway for boats and not Off-Road race cars! So with the latest deluge of rain and with more forecasted for this upcoming weekend we will be postponing the opening round for one week and will have Round 1 on March 6th! Doing this allows us to get the track totally back into good racing shape. Hope everyone understands and will still make it out for a great day of racing!
